Theme: "Blunts is back" — Return narrative
Visual Direction: Visuals to match the EP aesthetic. Need to align with EP tracks once received.
Style References: TBD — Awaiting client style references and EP tracks for direction.
Creative concepts and visual ideas from the proposal, ready to be developed into visuals during the alignment call.
Dragon Ball Z power-up sequence where Blunts charges up and releases Kamehameha wave, but instead of energy it's smoke from a blunt. Super Saiyan charging/transformation with aura, shadowy character, power ball = nug lighting up. Track: "Go Partner" - build matches charging/transformation energy.
Hyper-realistic $100 bills raining down, filling screen. Two-part sequence: bills fill screen → wind burst reveals "Blunts and Blondes" logo. Warehouse window shot with foreground/background depth for photorealistic quality. Track: "Moneymaker"
Dollar bill (preferably $100) with weed leaf replacing the face/president. Variations: dollar bill waving/floating, shooting out of money counter (for drops), president smoking weed on dollar bill, someone counting dollar bills + someone smoking weed. Track: "Moneymaker"
Premium cannabis nugget in professional lab setting undergoes intense visual distortion (lens warp, liquid morphing, time distortion) before dramatically exploding into particles, smoke, and light. Progressive sequence: initial state → subtle distortion → progressive warping → extreme distortion → explosion → aftermath. Reference: Instagram distortion effects on cannabis in lab setting.
Visual transformation sequence: landscape of green (cannabis fields) → green slowly morphs into $100 bill green color → reveal: it's a $100 bill with president smoking a blunt. Metaphor: Green (cannabis) → Money (green) → Money + Cannabis. Track: "Moneymaker"
Upgrade the existing "girl smoking weed acid blur" visual - current version is low quality. Keep the concept (it's used in their sets), improve quality significantly, maintain psychedelic/acid aesthetic but make it cleaner.
Drone view of agricultural landscape (cannabis fields) zooming down into a single nug, then transformation. Sequence: wide drone shot → zoom closer to plants → focus on single nug → transformation (nug grows into plant OR nug smokes/blows up OR turns into joint/blunt).
All Access pass/lanyard zooming in repeatedly, or strobing "All Access" text. Style options: Classic Adobe Premiere glitching effects, digital/Matrix-style effects, strobing text treatment, core/neon aesthetic. Reference: They use "All Access" branding in tour marketing.
Windows XP-style glitch effect (like the dragon smoking visual from EDC set). Digital glitch aesthetic, retro computer/OS aesthetic, can be applied to various assets (logo, characters, etc.). Not a Resolume effect - appears to be layered effect. Reference: Found in their EDC 2022 set visuals.
Blunts & Blondes as anime character (not 3D, more 2D anime style like Solo Leveling aesthetic). Actions: smoking weed, driving cool cars, power-up sequences, general anime character animations. Note: Limited photos/videos of Blunts himself, so character should be stylized/anime version.
Close-up of hand manually lighting a match, then lighting a blunt. Camera follows hand movement, background layer of hand action, can be looped. Reference: Similar to existing "rolling papers" visual but with Swisher Sweets blunts (not joint papers - client was mad about that detail).
Higher-detail version of existing weed leaf typography visuals. Take existing low-quality leaf animations and upgrade with: higher detail, better animation, more realistic marijuana leaves, maintain typography/text integration.
Logo animations, but limited quantity because logo is "nondescript" and "not what you think of when you think of Blunts & Blondes." Existing style: VHS effect on logo, typography style logo writing, white and black versions. Approach: Make them 3D, improve quality, but don't over-rely on logo. Quantity: Maybe 4 logo animations max.
Hand-drawn/animated motifs (aliens, smoke, notebooks, blunts) with stoner-cartoon aesthetic. Playful, cheeky character work.
High-contrast, festival-ready visuals optimized for LED walls. Bold, graphic rather than minimalist. Neon green + purple on black.
Hand-lettered brush script logotype with neon outline usage. Street art aesthetic with VHS/retro effects.
Return narrative, comeback energy, resurgence. Visual metaphors of rising from smoke/ashes, transformation sequences, triumphant return imagery.
Blend of gaming aesthetics with anime influences, particularly Dragon Ball Z style. Character power-ups, energy effects, combat sequences.
Stoner-cartoon meets bass culture. Cannabis-forward but not overly explicit. Animated blunts, smoke effects, weed-themed transformations.
Visuals must align with the 5-track EP's visual identity and theme. Match album artwork color palette, reflect EP track themes, support tour announcement.
